Frequent Questions

The Love Fund works with, and through, a network of youth service professionals. Any professional such as a case manager, medical care provider, therapist, counselor, etc. who works with, and is intimately familiar with a child’s unmet needs, may contact the Love Fund to request an application and apply for assistance on that child’s behalf.

The Love Fund provides goods or services to any child with an unmet need that has been validated and applied for by a third party youth service professional. The child/children must be age 18 or younger and must reside within a 37-county area. Examples of assistance provided include: medical equipment, therapeutic materials, beds and bedding; clothing, shoes, undergarments and outerwear; glasses and eye exams; baby care items; educational devices and equipment; extracurricular gear and some fees; hearing aids; adaptive toys and tools, etc. Some things the Love Fund cannot allocate resources to are: food, utility assistance, rent and past due bills.

The Love Fund for Children allocates resources through a voucher system. Vouchers for goods or services are sent directly to the youth service professional who applied for assistance on behalf of a child or children under their care or supervision. The youth service professional then provides the vouchers to the child's family. The family and/or the youth service professional may then take the vouchers to a specified Love Fund retail partner for the goods and services listed on the voucher.
Once the application is received in the office, the Love Fund staff will place it in queue in order that it was received. Once the funds are available, the staff will issue you a voucher for goods and/or services. Typically it is a 2-3 month waiting period for allocations. The Love Fund staff will only contact you if there is a question about your application. To make sure your application has no questions further delaying the allocation; please make sure it is completely filled out and has all required documentation.
The Love Fund for Children receives no government or state funding. The Love Fund relies solely on donations from individual donors, private foundations, family foundations, corporate sponsors, and events. If you would like to sponsor an event please contact us at
